55 Ramblings of a seeker_Wisdom of Baba Sai

Baba means Master, Guru, Lord of one’s destiny. Thus, in India, you may have Masters known by this word. It means Father-Guru-Everything. Many Perfect Masters have the title Baba attached to Their names. You are really blessed if you can die with Baba on your lips.

The philosophy is not, ‘I have faith that my Baba Sai will take care of me and will not let me down’ but ‘I have full faith in my Baba Sai that whatever happens my Baba Sai knows best and I shall accept joyously whatever is in store for me after giving my very best to the moment.’

We should be content in the knowledge that nothing, good or bad, pleasant or unpleasant, joy or grief, can enter our lives, without the consent of the Master. If it has the consent of the Master, then whatever the unpleasant experience be, it has come with a reason and the Baba Sai knows the reason and He has willed it and if something has been approved and blessed by the Master, then, that is all that matters.

Do not give anybody the power to hurt you. Never give anybody the power to affect your peace of mind. That power should be given only to your Goddess, God and Guru; never to any other being.

Mankind was made too much in a hurry to be trusted with something as precious as one’s peace of mind. Love everybody but trust only The One. Nobody else.

The more we lose ourselves, the more we connect with our Master. The more we shed ourselves away, the more space our Baba Sai gets to occupy within us. The less of ‘I’ means more space for our Baba Sai within us.

Those who are really fine-tuned with their Master’s frequency may in the end lose themselves completely and it is in them that their Goddess, God and Guru reside. Then they become the true vessels or instruments where whatever they say, think, do, see, hear, all is through their Master, in fact it is done by their Master.

We must never eat alone. Offer all that we eat and drink to The One and invite The One to share whatever one consumes along with us.

Work and constantly live to annihilate our little petty ego’s and bask in the glory and presence of our Goddess, God and Guru.

The most effective prayer is to ask The One to endow us with the strength and wisdom, love and compassion, to go through life and its experiences with grace, humour and positive surrender. If we ask for these qualities it has to be granted to us by The One.

Those who selflessly serve their Masters are served a million times more by their Masters. You serve first and foremost by being a decent human being. You serve by not harming others and by not gossiping and plotting and trying to create sadness and an environment of hate and pain.

We also serve by being generous; by lending a helping hand; by reaching out to the unfortunate or the underprivileged, by praying for peace and health for those who are in need for peace and health; by meditating for world peace; feeding the hungry and clothing those in need and providing shelter to the homeless. There are a million ways to serve Goddess, God and Guru, but always remember your Master sees, appreciates and serves you back a million times more.

Faith is the heartbeat that keeps the soul pure and intact in its original glory despite having been put through lifetimes of depravity and darkness. Faith keeps Goddess, God and Guru from pulling the plug off from Creation. Love and faith are two sides of eternity.

Remember, reaction is human, what you nurture and how you live with a situation decides where you stand spiritually and with your Master.

Know that our Baba has planned everything for us, so that we grow and we give and we get cleansed, with grace and with total positive embrace of our Master’s Will. Be aware that our Baba will do only what is best for us and our loved ones.

“Whenever you think of me I am with you.” If we want our Baba Sai to be with us all the time then we must think and miss our Baba Sai all the time. Take His Name all the time. The law is simple: If you want our Baba with us all the time, then we too must be with our Baba all the time. As you sow thus you shall reap.

Our Masters and Guides and Angels are present for each one of Their flock, present in our smallest triumphs and holding us during the worst turbulent times.

Masters are always present. Always. Along with them, one has Guardian Angels and Guides, all wanting and willing to be present and be of assistance to each and every individual. But that is if we allow Them to operate through us and that is possible when we leave the outcome gracefully to All of Them.

Breath is like our internal and external Master. Follow our Master. Our Baba will lead us to Salvation and Liberation.

The day we start meditating or chanting or being pure, decent beings, because and only because we love our Master, and all we seek is the love of our Master, then the universe smacks her lips and says ‘Aha, now the kid is ready for some intergalactic, all dimension learning and loving.’

The reality of life is living life full size. Giving one’s best and leaving the rest joyously to Baba and that is that. Nothing else matters.

Nothing is required but selfless love for the Master. Become totally besotted by the Master. Absorbed in Love, like Meera was for Lord Krishna. So much in love that nothing else matters but wanting our Master to accept our love and maybe even love us back; though the latter isn’t mandatory.

Loving Baba Sai is easy; its living Baba Sai that is most difficult. Do we live Him each moment? Do we live in a manner that makes our Baba happy and proud of us every single second of every single minute of every single hour of every single day of every single week of every single month of every single year of every single lifetime? Is making Baba proud and happy of you, your only priority? If it is, you don’t need to do anything else. The very Heaven will surround us with all Her glory and grace.

“Don’t for a moment think I don’t get all that you keep for Me. I receive and bless all that you place before Me. Sharing what you have with me, is all that matters to Me. Share with Me your joys and your pain; your food and your doubts; your cigars and your illusions; your love and your restlessness. I want it all. Don’t keep me away from anything.”So says every Master. I am you and you are I. Every child is in me and I am in every child. I am the sunrise and the sunset. I am the moon and the waxing and waning of it. I am fire and the light and the heat that comes forth from it. Never, ever, distinguish me separate from matter and mind. I am all. All are Me!” So says Baba Sai.

Fools try to differentiate between the disciple and the Master. Fools succeed with fools. Be wise. Can you separate the wave from the ocean? Can the light be separated from the flame? Can you separate the sunbeams from the sun or the fire from its warmth? The fruit comes from the seed and gives seeds to get more fruits. Nature is all-encompassing and never differentiates. Only foolish mankind differentiates.

The Master and nature, keeps all accounts. No love and emotion goes to waste. They receive everything and preserve it.

There is one infallible law of planet Earth; there are no free meals; you pay for everything, one way or another. Only with The Master meals are provided free of cost. Only with the Guru can one expect anything without any strings attached. The Master wants nothing from us but that we walk the right path and merge with Goddess, God and Guru.

Lord Hanuman tells Lord Ram, “In the human plane, You, My Lord are My Master. But in the spirit plane, My Lord, You and I are one.”

“Your word is my command. You and only Youmatter to me. You are all wise and knowing. You areomnipresent and omnipotent, for I know that You andthe Goddess have merged and there is no difference between the sea and the waves. The sea is a part of the waves and the waves are a part of the sea. They are one and the same; it’s just the form that differs. I know that my darling Baba Sai.”

The Guru is all knowing, and the Guru knows what is best for His or Her child. The Guru knows at what speed the child has to travel and how heavy the cross should be and how fast the karmic cleansing should be. Leave it all to our Guru.

Love, acceptance, moderation, selflessness, prayers, meditation, chanting, calm behavior, complete surrender and faith in one’s Master, all these emotions and conduct, frees the spirit from the body and when the individual sleeps, all this helps in reuniting loved ones; whether loved ones who have passed over or are still in the physical body but for some reason separated.

Only when The Master feels it is best to manipulate the karmic balance sheet and it is for the overall good of the individual and the wellbeing of each and every living organism, then destinies are altered.

The Guru comes before God. God has laid down the laws and thus God too is bound by those very laws, and remember, God is all Just. God cannot be lenient to some and unsparing to others; unless the case is presented by the Guru. When the Guru seeks for karmas to be altered or even squashed, God consents. But the Guru pays a price that is so excruciating that nobody can decipher or comprehend.

Love Goddess, God and Guru, like dogs love their masters and family. Unconditional. What does the dog want from the master? Nothing but love and its master’s presence! It obeys every command joyously.

‘Not a leaf moves and not a breath is taken without the approval of the Master’.

“My soul purpose is to make each child of Mine realize his or her godliness and Oneness. I help them cross every ocean of illusion and disillusion and reality and what appears to be real. All I want in return is that they take care of My other children; take care of their own spiritual family. Share a little of whatever I have given them with the less fortunate. Take care of the needy. Baba, if you become a loner, millions of people on Earth are going to be in a real pretty jam.

Baba I pray may we accept our lot gracefully. May we strive to make things better and always give our best. May we always stand up for our self respect but after leaving our all to the wisdom and grace of our Master.

A poor man might not be able to give much money but he or she can be a decent human being and help family, friends and everyone possible. By being a decent human being we are indulging in the best kind of charity and the most sublime state of compassion ever possible.

All we have to do is be in the moment and be with our Goddess, God and Guru. Do one thing at a time and give it our best. Don’t judge and don’t seek fruits. Don’t expect anything. Just be in total and positive surrender to the Will of The One. Pray that we receive wisdom and strength, love and compassion, to accept with total positive surrender and grace, all that our Goddess, God, Guru and our destiny has in store for us.

“You are never alone when in pain, never ever alone. Your loved ones who are in the spirit plane, your Guides, your Master, all are with you. Real pain is always shared.” So says Baba Sai.

“Whenever a child calls out to Me with love, real love, I am there with that child. If the child wants Me to be with him or her forever, then that child needs to love Me that way. All I need is love, selfless love.”

Take any Master and if you ask His or Her disciple, you will be told how unwell The Master is, virtually all the time. Why? Because The Master consciously keeps taking on the karma and illness of the disciples and devotees and thus illness plagues spiritual Masters.

Remember, the law of nature works in simple ways; somebody has to absorb whatever energy is set loose.Whether the individual pays or the Master, the law of nature and karma is not really interested.

The easiest way to work out one’s karma, clean the slate of karmic dues and protect oneself and one’s family is through prayers, meditation, charity and positive acceptance of one’s lot.

The one who makes the thunder roar, also hears a butterfly sigh.

Who are we to judge? Let only the Fakir do the judging.

Physically and spiritually, one must have eyes to see. Most of the time, Goddess, God and Guru are begging to be seen, but are ignored. Just as being upright, kind and noble is a must for the disciple, so are They bound by rules which states that whenever the heart truly remembers They have to be by our side.

“All answers are within each individual. All that the individual needs to do is sit silently and go within. Focus on one’s breath and slowly begin the journey back to one’s real home. For that one needs no medium, no ashram, no books, no pseudo master, just faith that Goddess, God and Guru is within you and is eager to guide you back home.”

“I have eaten every meal with you as you have always offered Me the meal first, before putting a morsel in your mouth. I have seen all the fascinating sunrises and sunsets with you, as you asked Me to be present with you, each time the sun did its illusionary dance.”

“Remember, in you, only one can reside: you or your Master. There is no place for two to rule.”

The more we fill ourself with our Master’s Name and thought, the more we get filled up with His or Her Energy and automatically we become a medium for our Master.

Not for a moment should the piano take the credit for the phenomenal music that is created and which flows through it, for it is the Musician that is responsible for the melody.

There is a difference of Heaven and Earth and hell between positive joyous surrender and a fatalistic approach to life and all that which is dished out.Let your Master decide what tune the instrument should play; let The Master fill us up with whatever rhythm we should dance to. All we have to do is enjoy the jig.

“Less of you, means more of Me. More of you means less of Me. If you want Me to speak through you, then you should empty your mind, heart and body of yourself and allow Me to settle within you. The moment you do that, I begin to speak through you. That is how We work through our children.”

Are we praying because we want to connect with Goddess, God and Guru or are we praying because of guilt or fear or tradition or for whatever reason but that of love and gratitude?

If there is no intensity in prayer and no devotion in that intensity then we are wasting time. Goddess, God and Guru want devotion, emotion, love, gratitude, intensity and surrender.

Even if ninety percent of one’s life is predetermined, and each individual has only ten percent in his or her own control, I would still say, that the ten percent we have as Free Will and in our control, is more important than the ninety percent in the karmic vault bank. Our destiny is already charted but our Free Will is going to make our future karma and destiny, painful or joyous.

Complete faith means annihilation of one’sown self and identity. The person or this child of Goddess, God and Guru becomes more like a dervish, a medium, an instrument. As a dervish fine-tunes his or her faith more and more and aligns his or her frequency or vibration with that of Goddess, God and Guru, the child begins to lose his or her identity and takes the identity of The One.

Shradha itni honi chahiye ke Guru ko hila-dey. Our Faith should be so intense that it should shake the feet of our very Guru.

“Faith is a very loaded word. We believe that true faith encompasses all of Creation and beyond. True faith is far deeper, nobler and closer to Baba than all the philosophies and the Great Books put together. In fact, put all which is spiritual on one scale and put True selfless faith on the other. The scale of True faith will be the heavier one.

If we can’t accept with grace what S(H)e has in store for us, no amount of spirituality is worth its salt. Whatever is in store for us, good or hard experiences, is for a reason and that reason is known to our Goddess, God and Guru, and if They know then it is for our best. It’s as simple and as complicated as this.

Baba Sai says that the mind is a wonderful creation of the individual. Thoughts are attached to the mind. Like horses are reigned onto a chariot. Either we control thoughts or the thoughts control us. Either we are the Guru, or the mind and thoughts become our Guru. Like fire, thoughts could be life enhancing or it could char us to death.

One needs to be detached from one’s pain and sorrow, no matter how catastrophic they may seem to be or may really be. The mind really should become still. It should be blank so that Baba can speak through. One day the Master will speak through.

The feeling of Oneness is the be all and end all of all that which is noble and peaceful. It is when we begin to really see the Master and God in everything and every being. This is the moment when the real meaningful steps towards self-realization and spirituality takes place. Till then we are blissfully shadow boxing.

Spirituality doesn’t mean only going beyond pleasure and weakness. Spirituality also means going beyond prejudices, hate, anger, pain, and any and everything that takes us away from our equilibrium and thus away from our Goddess, God and Guru.

Karma ki bhati sey Shri Ram bhi na bach sakey. Even Lord Ram could not escape the fires of destiny. Who are we to complain or seek exception.

Be blessed always.

JAI BABA
